Ranbir Kapoor is not the only one avoided talking about the controversial subject even Salman Khan earlier claimed that he had never heard about casting couch in Bollywood. At HT leadership summit, Salman had said"Sometimes these things are pushed so much that people tend to believe everyone (in the industry) is like that. And then a wrong woman is caught. But it is the most disgusting thing ever to exploit or use somebody to get them work. Man or woman. That in exchange of giving someone work, you take their advantage. It's disgusting.I have been here for the longest time and my father (screenwriter Salim Khan) has been here. Till today, I have never heard someone come and say this straight out."

The debate got ignited again when Saroj Khan defended casting couch in Bollywood. When asked about Sri Reddy's nude protest against casting couch in Tollywood, this National Award winning choreographer had said,  “This (casting couch) has been going on since the beginning of time. It hasn’t started now. Someone or the other tries to take advantage of every other girl. The government’s people do it too. Then why are you after the film industry? It provides livelihood at least. Does not rape and leave you. It depends on the girl, what she wants to do. If you don’t want to fall in wrong hands, you won’t. If you have art, then why would you sell yourself? Don’t take film industry’s name, it is everything for us.”
