Ranbir Kapoor shared that Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's fights traumatised him in his childhood.

Late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor tied the knot with each other in January 1980. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor are their children. In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor opened up on the troubled relationship between his parents and shared how their fights affected his childhood.

Talking to the entreprenuer Nikhil Kamath on his podcast named People by WTF on his YouTube channel, Ranbir said, "Anybody who speaks in a louder tone, it disturbs me, since childhood. My parents went through a lot of fights. We lived in a bungalow, so I have spent most of my childhood on the staircases, hearing them fight. I was always scared and on the edge."

The Rockstar actor added, "I think they were both going through a rough patch. My sister wasn’t around, so I kind of felt responsible. My mother used to talk about her feelings to me. But, my father wasn’t that expressive. I never understood or heard his point of view." Ranbir is now married to his Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt. Rishi passed away in 2020 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir was last seen in the gangster drama Animal. Though the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial received mixed reviews upon its release in December last year, it went on to become a blockbuster. It earned Rs 554 crore net in India and grossed Rs 915 crore worldwide, as per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk.

The actor will be seen next in Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of the mythological drama. Ranbir, Sai Pallavi, and Yash will be seen portraying the roles of Lord Rama, Sita, and Raavan, respectively in the much-awaited film. Though Ramayana hasn't been officially announced yet, it has already become one of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema.
