Also starring Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, Animal will release on December 1 and clash with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur.

The gangster drama Animal, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is one of the most-awaited films since its announcement, which just had the actor speaking a massy dialogue as a background music. Later, it's first poster and pre-teaser showing Ranbir weiling an axe in a deadly avatar left everyone suprised.

And now, as per the latest reports, the makers are working non-stop to launch the Animal teaser on the Brahmastra actor's 41st birthday on September 28 late this month. The film will have a long two month promotional campaign ahead of its release on December 1 late this year. If the teaser doesn't ge finalised, the team will bring out another asset to mark Ranbir's special day.

A source was quoted telling Pinkvilla, "It’s work in progress on the teaser front and the idea is to bring it out on RK’s birthday. Which a rough cut is already locked, it’s sent for polishing the post production department. If the teaser is locked, which mostly likely will be, the team will treat all the fans with an epic teaser on Ranbir’s birthday. If not for a teaser, the idea is definitely to bring out some other asset like a poster, motion poster or something else none would expect."

Apart from the Sanju actor, Animal features Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles. Earlier, Parineeti Chopra was signed as the leading lady but she left the film to shoot for Amar Singh Chamkila, Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh's biopic of the late Punjabi singer, releasing on Netflix in 2024.

Animal was earlier slated to release on August 11 clashing with Sunny Deol's patriotic drama Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar's satirical comedy OMG 2, but was postponed due to delay in its post-production. After averting a clash with two sequels, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has found itself in another clash as Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur is also slated to release on December 1.
