Ranbir Kapoor talks about 'sacrifices' in his marriage with Alia Bhatt: 'It's impossible for...'

In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor said that both he and Alia Bhatt are adjusting to each other in their married life.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot with Alia Bhatt in April 2022 and the couple were blessed with a baby girl named Raha in November 2022. The two have often talked about their personal lives and relationship in public. In a recent interview, Ranbir talked about the sacrifices that they both had to take, saying that both he and Alia have let go of their personality in their marriage.

Talking to the entreprenuer Nikhil Kamath on his podcast named People by WTF on his YouTube channel, Ranbir said, "Especially when you’re in a marriage, you have to let go of your personality. She’s also letting go of her personality. We’re adjusting to each other trying to make it liveable for each other. Any marriage is doing that. You have to let go, you have to adjust, you have to sacrifice facets of it. Because it’s impossible for two people to like each other the way they are."

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt fell in love on the sets of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The fantasy action adventure film, released in 2022, also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance. The Ayan Mukerji directorial earned Rs 267 crore net in India and grossed Rs 430 crore worldwide. The next two parts in the Brahmastra trilogy are highly awaited. 

The husband and wife duo will be seen sharing the screen togethet in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next directorial Love & War. The film, also starring Vicky Kaushal, is slated to release on Christmas 2025. The upcoming film will mark Ranbir and Alia's second collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Saawariya and Gangubai Kathiawadi, respectively.
