For those who've come in late, Kangana Ranaut had first called out Alia Bhatt for not supporting her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, when it was caught amidst controversies, before the release. Not just that, Kangana had repeatedly attacked Alia, calling her Karan Johar's puppet and asking her to grow some spine

Later, Kangana had also dubbed Alia's performance in Gully Boy as mediocre. Recently, Rangoli Chandel had lashed out on Twitter against Alia and her mother Soni Razdan. She had tweeted, "These non Indians who are living off this land, using and abusing its people and its resources, lying about intolerance and spreading hatred, time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations."

Looks like it was these repeated attacks on Alia and her acting mettle that prompted her Highway co-star Randeep Hooda to stand by her. Even though, he didn't mention Kangana's name in his tweet, netizens were quick to put two and two together and point out who he meant to call 'occasional actor' and 'chronic victim'.

Meanwhile, unfazed by all the negativity, Alia Bhatt has been neck deep in promotions of her upcoming release - Kalank. The film, that also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha is all set to hit the theatres this Wednesday.
