Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba has left behind the Khans, and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Box Office on just the fifth day since its release.
In comparison, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan managed only Rs 335 crore and is now on the uncoveted list of the worst films of 2018. Even across the border in China, where 'Uncle Aamir' enjoys some popularity, it could make only Rs 32 crore.
Similarly, Zero, Shah Rukh Khan's most expensive film till date at Rs 200 crore could not deliver. In the 10 days since its release on December 21, 2018, it stuttered to make 85.95 crore at the Box Office.
Even Salman Khan, who can be counted on getting the cash registers ringing with each pelvic thrust, could not make Race 3 dance to his tunes. The June 2018 thriller only made Rs 303 crore.
Looks like time has come for the Khans to gracefully reconsider their "winning" formulas and make way for more energetic (and youthful) stars.
