Saif Ali Khan, who will next be seen in Akshat Verma’s Kaalakaandi, recently revealed that he was offered a role in the third installment of the Race franchise but he didn’t take up the role as he didn't feel the connection with the part he was offered.

For the uninitiated, Saif has been replaced by Salman Khan in Race 3. Talking about the film at a promotional event, Saif said, "(Producer) Ramesh Taurani said I'm making a completely different movie this time with a totally different story. I was offered a part but Salman Khan is the best thing to happen to anybody. He's the biggest star in the country."

 

"I didn't feel a connection myself with the part I was offered. So, I decided to do something else.", the actor further added. Saif playing a protagonist in Race, which released in 2008 and was also a part of the Race 2 in 2013.

Meanwhile, apart from Salman, Race 3 also Anil Kapoor, stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, and Daisy Shah. Directed by Remo D’souza, Race 3 is slated to release on Eid 2018.
