Riddhima Kapoor Sahni gets permission to travel from Delhi for Rishi Kapoor's funeral

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was stuck in Delhi amidst COVID-19 lockdown

Rishi Kapoor's funeral is soon to be held in Mumbai but daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was stuck in Delhi amidst coronavirus lockdown. She requested permission to travel to attend Rishi Kapoor's last rites, and according to NDTV, Riddhima's request to travel has been accepted.

However Riddhima will have to travel from Delhi to Mumbai by road, which takes approximately 18 hours. The distance from Delhi to Mumbai is 1400 kms. Riddhima, according to the report on NDTV channel, has received Delhi Police's permission to travel to Mumbai in order to attend Rishi Kapoor's funeral.

ANI confirmed the same by mentioning, "Delhi Police has issued movement pass to 5 people, including Riddhima Kapoor - the daughter of #RishiKapoor, to go to Mumbai: DCP (southeast) RP Meena (in file pic) Rishi Kapoor passed away at Mumbai's HN Reliance Foundation Hospital today."

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, who had grown close to Rishi Kapoor and the Kapoor family since some time, was among the first to arrive at where the actor was receiving treatment in Mumbai. Rishi's mortal remains are still placed there, and it is difficult to say whether Riddhima would be able to attend her father's funeral.

Rishi Kapoor, aged 67, died after a two-year battle with leukemia. "The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last," an official statement from Rishi Kapoor's family read. The actor passed away at 8.45 am on April 30, 2020.
