Raj Kapoor's wife, Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away due to cardiac arrest

Krishna Raj Kapoor left for heavenly abode on Monday morning around 5 pm following a cardiac arrest. Married to Raj Kapoor, Krishna Kapoor was 87 when she breathed her last. The news of her sudden demise has left the entire B-Town in shock. 

Her grand-daughter and Ranbir Kapoor's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared in a heartfelt post, how much she loves her dadi. Riddhima took to her Instagram account to share a few throwback pictures of some cherished moments with Krishna Raj Kapoor. 

She captioned her picture with her granny and mom Neetu Kapoor writing, "Love you so much RIP". Another gem of a picture which had been clicked in Paris was captioned, "I love you- I will always love you - RIP dadi"

Though, Krishna Raj Kapoor never really became the centre of attention for the world, she was one of the most revered and highly respected women in the Kapoor family. Her son Randhir Kapoor told PTI, "My mother passed away at about 5 am today due to cardiac arrest...old age was another factor. We are deeply saddened by her demise."

For those who're uninitiated, Raj Kapoor tied the knot with then Krishna Malhotra in May 1946. The couple had 5 children - Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Ritu Kapoor, Rima Kapoor. As per reports, the last rits of Krishna Kapoor will be performed at Chemnbur crematorium.
