Saira Banu recalled when she met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time and how the actor stood with her, and emotionally supported her when she suffered the loss of Dilip Kumar's demise.

After a hiatus of four years, Shah Rukh Khan reclaimed his throne of 'King' this year with Pathaan and now Jawan. SRK's latest film is on a spree of breaking box office records, and veteran actress Saira Banu has penned a heartfelt note for the actor. Shah Rukh Khan is fond of Saira Banu, and her late husband, legendary Dilip Kumar.

On Sunday, Saira shared a carousel post with a video and a photo. In the video, Shah Rukh Khan requested the veteran actor to sign a large poster of Mughal-E-Azam, which was presented to him by a fan. Dilip Kumar gracefully signed the poster with a marker, and SRK hugged him affectionately. In the photo, Khan is captured holding hands with the late actor and having a laugh with Saira.

Sharing the post, Saira wrote a long note, dedicating to Dilip and her relationship with SRK. Saira recalled when she first met Shah Rukh, "The first time I saw Shahrukh was when many stars had met for a function...I immediately remarked that he seemed shy and reticent to come forward....and I noticed that he looked so much like my Shahenshah Dilip Sahib....I said if my son had been there He would have been just like him."

Saira even revealed how he supported her for an event and confirmed his attendance with just one text message. "Shahrukh Khan is a remarkable actor and also an incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and considerate individual. He would frequently grace us with his presence at various functions hosted at our house. Once, there was a special event for my company, and I had a strong desire for Shahrukh to do an interview. However, Shahrukh's hectic work schedule seemed almost insurmountable. Yet, with just a single text message from me, I was amazed to find him at my doorstep within a mere hour, willing to oblige and support my endeavour."

At last, Saira even recalled how Shah Rukh extended emotional support when Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021. She wrote, "On the 7th of July, when Dilip Sahib slipped into a deep slumber, unresponsive to my voice, leaving me burdened with the ache of his absence, Shahrukh emerged as a beacon of solace. In that moment, his affection for the 'Kohinoor of Hindustan,' Dilip Sahib, shone brightly as he was among the very first to offer his comforting presence in the face of adversity."

Saira's post has won the netizens, and they have praised SRK and called him most 'beautiful human being ever'. On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has earned Rs 180.85 crore domestically.
