Salman Khan starrer Bharat has already begun rolling. While earlier, Priyanka Chopra was also supposed to be a part of the project, the actress chose to walk out of the film citing a very 'special reason' to director Ali Abbas Zafar and that too, at the 'Nick of time', i.e., just before the film went on floors. Soon after Priyanka's exit from the film, rumours of how she's left the makers and Salman Khan upset with her last minute act, started doing the rounds.
Finally, director Ali Abbas Zafar has opened up about PC's exit and has wished her well. While talking to IANS, Zafar said, "I am very happy for Priyanka wherever she is in life right now professionally and personally."
Zafar added that Priyanka is a good friend and wished her all the happiness. He was further quoted by the agency, "All my heart goes out to her because she has been a good friend since a really long time and we get along really well. I would say that I wish all the happiness and love. Hopefully I am going to see her soon."
It was Zafar's tweet that confirmed Priyanka's exit from the film. His had tweeted, "Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life". This was taken as a hint of a possible engagement and subsequent marriage of PC with beau Nick Jonas.
Soon after, reported started doing the rounds, stating that Priyanka and Nick Jonas got engaged during her birthday celebrations in London. In fact, recently, Priyanka was spotted at the airport and her deliberate attempt at hiding her (rumoured) engagement ring, further added fuel to the fire of her being engaged to Jonas already.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif has been roped in place of Priyanka in Bharat.
