Salman Khan is all set to pay a special tribute to his late on screen mother Reema Lagoo at Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2017 to be held in New York this year. The duo have portrayed mother-son in a number of movies.
Salman has shared the screen space with the veteran actress in movies like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai among others. An IANS report quoted Salman Khan as saying in an interview, "Reemaji has played my other in a lot of films. Our relationship began while working in Maine Pyaar Kiya and she was like a friend to me. She was great as a person. I feel as if I've lost my on screen mother."
The report further added that IIFA officials have confirmed the story saying that they will dedicate some moments to pay a tribute to Reema Lagoo.
For those who've come in late, Reema Lagoo left for heavenly abode on May 18 this year. She began her career in 1978 with the Marathi film Singhasan. She was shooting for the TV serial Naamkaran till a day before she passed away due to cardiac arrest.
