All eyes are on Sanjay Dutt biopic 'Sanju' which release this Friday. Sanju trailer which highlights Ranbir Kapoor's stunning transformation for the role of Dutt and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani's entertaining style of narrating the ups and downs of Dutt's life has got everyone excited for the much-awaited biopic of the year.
While a special screening was organised for Sanjay Dutt a day before the release of 'Sanju', Dia Mirza also showered real life Sanu with the best gift ever.
Dia Mirza who plays the role of Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanyata in the film has gifted the superstar original film poster of 'Mother India'- the most memorable film of Sanjay Dutt's mother Nargis's career. The actress purchased the poster for Rs 1,45,000 for Sanjay Dutt and his family at an auction and told IANS, “I was part of very important and beautiful auction, to restore and preserve the heritage of cinema. And during that auction, some very priceless memorabilia was being auctioned. I found this ‘Mother India’ poster and I thought it would make a very special present for Sanjay Dutt and his family. So I bid for it.”
Just like the superstar, his biopic is also close to her heart. “Sanju is a special film and I think everyone who is part of it is excited and cannot wait for the audience to watch the film and enjoy it,” she said.
'Sanju' stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh and many others in pivotal roles. Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is all set to release on July 29th, 2018.
