Insiders opine that it was unprofessional on Sooraj’s part to walk out of the film that also marks Sanjay’s return to production

On April 2, After Hrs had reported that Sooraj Pancholi would play son to Sanjay Dutt in the latter’s next production, the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit, Prasthanam. However, recently, the Hero actor opted out of the film even as prep for it has begun. Deva Katta, who helmed the original will also direct the remake. And Sooraj’s role is now being done by Ali Fazal instead.

Insiders opine that it was unprofessional on Sooraj’s part to walk out of the film that also marks Sanjay’s return to production. Even though reports claim that the young actor couldn’t accommodate the film in lieu of his committed dates to Remo D’souza’s Time To Dance with Isabelle Kaif, industry sources maintain that he clearly chose to go back on a prior commitment at a short notice.

We tried contacting Sooraj for his side of the story, but he didn’t revert to our text messages.
