The makers of Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu starrer Sandeep Singh biopic Soorma have unveiled the Soorma Anthem from the film. After the hard-hitting trailer and the soothing romantic track Ishq Di Baajiyaan, the Soorma Anthem comes to inspire us all and salute the never-give-up spirit of all the fighters out there.
The title track is truly the best one to keep you focussed and motivated to achieve your goals, no matter how much difficulties you face in your way. The visuals of the song take us through Diljit's journey and struggle of making a comeback at playing Hockey for the contry. He is helped by Angad Bedi who plays his brother/coach in the film. Flashes of his love interest - Taapsee too appear but it is Diljit who dominates the 2 minute 20 second song.
The lyrics, penned by Gulzar deserve a special mention. It is meaningful lines like, "Peechhe mere andhera aage mere aandhi hai, maine aisi aandhi mein diya jalaya hai" or "Dil patthar ho jayega ya patthar ka dil dhadkega, aisi ek chattan se maine sir takraya hai" that truly bring out the essence of the film and make you feel the plethora of emotions behind the comeback of a legend like Sandeep Singh.
Gulzar's lyrics find an apt companion in the vocals of Shankar Mahadevan, who has crooned the song to perfection. We can't imagine the track in the voice of any other singer but him. Composed by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the soorma Anthem is surely going to find a place in your workout playlists for your daily dose of motivation.

Directed by Shaad Ali, Soorma also stars Vijay Raaz and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film is slated to hit the theatres on July 13.
