A freelance filmmaker named Jayanth Seege S hails from Bengaluru and stays outside Mannat the whole day.

It's a dream of millions of people to meet their favourite Shah Rukh Khan. And there are people too who want to make a film with the superstar. One of those fans is currently stationed outside SRK's bungalow Mannat in Mumbai. A freelance filmmaker named Jayanth Seege S recently took to his Instagram page and shared a photo in which he is seen holding a placard which reads as "Friends: New Years Plan, Me: Pitching my script to SRK."

Jayanth captioned his post stating, "Doing something completely bonkers and stupid to end this crazy year called 2020. I am outside SRK's house trying to get his attention for a dream called Project X. He might not even be in town but if anyone/everyone out there helps this to reach him it'll be awesome! Thanks and happy new year to all in advance."

Now Humans of Bombay met up with the filmmaker and asked him to narrate the story behind pitching his script to Shah Rukh. He said, "In August, when I came across Shahrukh Khan's interview where he said that he hadn't signed any new movies since Zero, I literally went bonkers; I was like, 'What if I get SRK to act in my movie?' So, I created a movie poster overnight and tweeted it, tagging SRK.

Obviously, nothing happened, but I still couldn't shake off the thought – I retweeted it on his birthday again. Finally, in December, I don't know what got to me – I thought, 'Why not just go to Mannat and narrate the script to him face to face?'

So, I flew from Bengaluru to Mumbai, and since then, every day, I come to Mannat at sunrise and stand here till midnight. Even the guards know me very well now – we chit chat every day! I'd tell them about how I'm a struggling filmmaker, toh ladki toh milne wali hai nahi, at least SRK se ek baar mila do!

Eventually, I realised I had to do something atrociously magnanimous as he does in his movies, and here I am. And I'm going to stay put until he signs my movie – after all, 'Kisi cheez ko shiddat se chaho toh poori kainath usse tumse milane ki koshish me lag jaati hai.'

Toh kya kehte ho Humans of Bombay walo? Tagging karna shuru kare?"

Interestingly, Jayanth has been earlier nominated for Best Writing category for a Kannada film titled Katha Sangama at Critics Choice Film Awards.
