The much-awaited 'Hook Up' song finally released on Tuesday afternoon at 4 pm. It features 'Student Of The Year' alumnus Alia Bhatt and current batch's hero Tiger Shroff

Sung by Neha Kakkar and Shekhar Ravjiani, the 'Hook Up' song begins with Alia making a sultry entry on a poll into Tiger Shroff's imaginary world. Tiger's chiselled abs and Alia's killer moves keep you hooked-on as the two set the dance floor on fire.

Earlier while talking about his experience of working with Alia, Tiger had told PTI, "It is a different sort of a song that I have shot. Personally, I have not done something like that before. Working with Alia was an amazing experience. Though she is such a big star, she was so easy to work with, she was so open and hardworking on set, ever after achieving so much. It was really inspiring being around her."

In an exclusive interview with DNA After Hrs, director Punit Malhotra divulged some interesting details about the song. “The thought of getting one of the ex-students back in this film was the germ for it. So, we started building on it," he said.

Interestingly, this number has a connect with The Break-Up Song from Karan Johar’s 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil '(2016). Punit further revealed, “We took the cue from there, and that’s where the hook up idea came from.”

Talking about his first collaboration with Alia, Punit added, “When I spoke to Alia, she said, ‘I will rehearse non-stop.’ She was already juggling two films at that time. But she gave her 200 per cent to this song. Tiger dances well, but Alia has surpassed him. When you see the song, you’ll see that she is stunning. She has spared no effort and I give full credit to her. She had bruises on her hand, but the way she danced was simply amazing.

'Hook Up' is the third 'Student of the Year 2' song to be released after 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and 'Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan.' Both the songs received an overwhelming response from the audience.

'Student Of The Year 2', which also features debutantes Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and is all set to hit screens on May 10.
