Actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who was once a part of India’s first boy band, A Band of Boys, has returned to the world of singing with his first solo single, Teri Adaa. While he has no plans of regrouping with his former band, he says he wouldn’t mind collaborating with them in the future. He tells us more about the single...
Why did you take such a long break from singing? What made you come back to it?
I took a break from my singing after I opted out of my band as the monies were not good at that time. I did give it three years but in spite of having become a rage in the country, we didn’t make that kind of money. I decided to come back after a decade as the music scene has changed for the better and there is so much more that an artiste can look forward to.
Tell us a bit about the new single, Teri Adaa.
My new single is a beautiful love song with a strong melody and sound. I wanted my comeback single to not be just another song as people have high expectations from me because of my experience with the band. The video will be a surprise. I have tried to tell a story through it.
Will this be a one-off outing or are you planning to release some other singles as well? What about playback?
This is just the beginning. I’m already working on my second single. It’s a Punjabi track and will be even bigger and better. I’m going to be churning out singles non-stop. Playback would be great and even better if I do it for myself.
