Tishaa Kumar, daughter of former actor and T-Series co-owner Krishan Kumar, passed away at the age of 20 years after a prolonged battle with cancer on Thursday, July 18, in Germany. She was staying with her father Krishan Kumar and mother Tanya Singh in the European nation, where her treatment was being held.
As per a Times Now report, Tishaa's funeral was scheduled at the Vile Parle Crematorium in Mumbai at 5 pm on Sunday, July 21, but the same has been postponed. This is because of Mumbai's bad weather as the flight carrying her last remains from Germany could not land in the Maharashtrian capital and has been diverted to Ahmedabad. It is expected to land in Mumbai later in the day.
The report also stated that Tishaa's parents have postponed her funeral to 10 am on Monday, July 22, at the same venue, i.e., the Vile Parle Crematorium. A prayer meet has also been organised for Tishaa at the Hotel Sahara Star in Andheri East, Mumbai, from 4 pm to 5 pm tomorrow.
Tishaa's father Krishan Kumar is the younger brother of Gulshan Kumar, the late founder of T-Series. He is best known for the 1995 hit Bewafa Sanam. However, after his acting career in the 1990s failed and due to Gulshan Kumar's death in 1997, Krishan started managing T-Series till Gulshan’s son, Bhushan Kumar, came of age.
Krishan and Bhushan are running T-Series for more than 20 years now. Apart from being a music record label, the company has also bankrolled multiple blockbusters such as Salman Khan-starrer Ready, Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh, Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal.
