Starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar in the lead roles, The Great Indian Family has been released in the theatres on Friday, September 22. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie has been dubbed as the "most important film of the year" by the moviegoers, who have seen it on its first day of thearical release and shared their reviews on Twitter, now called as X.

Apart from Vicky and Manushi, the film features an ensemble cast comprising of Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Alka Amin, Bhuvan Arora, and Sadiya Siddiqui among others. The film has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who has previously helmed critically panned films such as Tashan, Dhoom 3, and Thugs of Hindostan.
