After months of speculations about will they, or won't they, finally, the Kapoors and the Ajuha's made it official that Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will get married on May 8. The official joint statement from the families sent waves of excitement among the fans of the actress. While a number of biggies from the tinsel town will be seen joining in the wedding celebrations, Deepika Padukone will not be attending the Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja wedding.
Sonam's wedding with her long time beau Anand has become the talk of the town. B-Town celebs like Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora Ladak and others are all set to make the wedding and other functions, a starry affair. Deepika on the other hand will be seen missing from all the action. Why do we say so? Well, turns out that Deepika will not be in the country at the time of Sonam's wedding.
If reports doing the rounds are to be believed, then Deepika will be in New York at the time of Sonam's wedding. Deepika is the only Indian to have featured in the TIME 100 list of most influential people this year and post this feat, she's likely to be busy in quite a few events in the US.
Reportedly, Deepika will be attending an event by the Time magazine on May 7. Post that, the actress will leave from New York for the prestigious Cannes Film festival to be held in France from May 8 till May 19. She will only be able to return to India once these events are over. As far as Sonam's wedding is concerned, it'll take place in Mumbai on May 8. So due to her work commitments, DP won't be able to attend Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding.
