Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' minted Rs 520.79 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office on its opening weekend. On the other hand, Prabhas' film 'Kalki 2898 AD' crossed the Rs 500 crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend.

The highest-grossing films in the last few years are Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaa', 'Jawan', Prabhas' 'Salaar', and 'Kalki 2898 AD'. All these films earned over Rs 1000 crores at the box office and made history. However, now a film has been released at the box office that has earned 2.5 times more than 'Jawan', 'Pathaan', 'Salaar', and 'Kalki 2898 AD'. We are talking about the film 'Deadpool & Wolverine' which released in July 2024. It stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

This film is being liked a lot all over the world. 'Deadpool & Wolverine', even before its release, received a great advance booking. This is one of the main reasons why the worldwide figures after its first weekend are unimaginable. 'Deadpool & Wolverine' earned in the range of $438.3 million (approximately Rs 3670 crore) in its opening weekend. With this, Deadpool and Wolverine have become the number one opening film of the year 2024.

The figures for these two historic Indian films are far less than that of 'Deadpool & Wolverine'.

In India, 'Deadpool & Wolverine' has earned a brilliant Rs 83.28 crore in its first weekend, which has surpassed the lifetime collections of both 'Deadpool' (Rs 40.79 crore GBOC) and 'Deadpool 2' (Rs 69.94 crore GBOC) in India. Marvel Studios 'Deadpool & Wolverine' has been released in theaters in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
