It has turned out to be a fabulous year for Varun Dhawan, both on the personal and professional front.
As far as films are concerned, Varun won over the critics and made a mark with his nuanced performance in Sharat Katariya's Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Shoojit Sircar's October.
And on the personal front too, the actor has reasons to be on the top of the world!
Varun's elder brother, Rohit Dhawan and his wife Jaanvi Desai welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in May this year.
And after the baby stepped into the world, this year was all about pampering and showering love on her, for the actor.
While sharing a picture with his bundle of joy, Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram to sum up the year that went by.
In the picture, Varun can be seen playing with his niece. The actor's father David Dhawan and brother Rohit can also be seen in the frame.
He captioned it, "3 men and a baby. All I want for Christmas is u. Thank u so much for the love this year for #October and #suidhaaga. Mauji and Dan will always live on cause u guys gave me so much love and confidence to do something new. This picture is 2018 for me. My niece everyday teaches me something new. (sic)"
Earlier, at the India Today Mind Rocks 2018, Varun Dhawan called his niece the "greatest love of (his) life".
"It's amazing. The feeling when you see a baby for the first time is something else. It's life-changing," he said.
"I think she is my child only. She's my brother's child and I love my brother so I'm obsessed with my niece," Varun said, when asked if he was looking forward to having any children of his own.
"I'm very good with babies and children in general. I have learnt everything, from burping to changing the nappy. I assist my bhabhi with everything," he added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in Abhishek Verman's multi-starrer Kalank.
