For those who love suspense and thrill, there are many shows that you will find if you explore the category. However, if you don’t want to go through the trouble of checking out a few before zeroing in on the one that will suit your taste, we have some recommendations for you. Here the shows that will keep you glued to your screens with it’s many twists and turns.

The Sinner
Cast
: Jessica Biel, Christopher Abbot, and Bill Pullman

What it’s about: An adaptation of a novel German by crime writer Petra Hammesfahr, the show follows Cora Tanetti (Jessica Biel), who leads a normal life. But things go out of hand, when suddenly she stabs a man to death during a beach outing with her husband (Christopher Abbot) and son. She doesn’t remember the man or seems to have any motive for the murder. Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is determined to get to the bottom of the case. Jessica and Bill are in top form in the show that’s gripping from the word go.

Mindhunter

What’s it about: The American crime drama is based on the true crime book titled Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, which was authored by John E Douglas and Mark Olshaker Set. The show revolves around FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany), who interview imprisoned serial killers in order to understand how such criminals think and apply this knowledge to solving ongoing cases. The season one ended with a cliffhanger. The FBI’s Behavioural Science Unit has been betrayed by one of its own, while Ford is getting a little too personal with a serial killer. Enjoy the first season while awaiting the next.

What’s it about: The show focusses on Thomas Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland). On the night of the American President’s speech, an explosion claims the lives of the President and everyone in the line of succession. The only person who lives on is Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Thomas Kirkman, who had been named the designated survivor. Kirkman is immediately sworn in as President, unaware that the attack is just the beginning of what is to come. With Kiefer as the protagonist, this is one show you are definitely going to enjoy watching.
