Tishaa Kumar's funeral took place in Mumbai on Monday morning, with Bollywood celebs arriving to pay final respect to Krishan Kumar's late daughter

Tishaa Kumar’s mortal remains reached Mumbai early in the morning on Monday. The 20-year-old daughter of T-Series co-founder Krishan Kumar had passed away in Germany last week. Tishaa had been unwell and undergoing treatment for sometime as per reports. Her funeral was originally slated to be held on Sunday but was postponed after the aircraft carrying it was diverted.

On Monday morning, paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared images and videos showing Tishaa’s mortal remains arriving at her father Krishan Kumar’s house. Earlier, a statement from T-Series had confirmed that the funeral would take place on Monday. “Due to bad weather in Mumbai the flight is diverted to Ahmedabad causing delay in landing in Mumbai, hence we have to unfortunately perform the last rites tomorrow,” the statement read.

Eventually, the funeral took place at the Vile Parle Crematorium at 10am on Monday. Visuals from the site showed several Bollywood celebs arriving to pay their final respects to the departed. Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi arrived as did filmmaker siblings Farah Khan and Sajid Khan. A number of other friends of the Kumars from Bollywood were also present at the funeral.

Tishaa was the daughter of Krishan and singer Tanya Singh. Krishan is the brother of the late Gulshan Kumar, who founded T-Series in the 90s. After Gulshan’s death, Krishan – along with Gulshan’s son Bhushan Kumar – built T-Series as a film production company, giving several hits, including recent blockbusters like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Animal.

As per reports, Tishaa had been suffering from cancer for the last few years and had been undergoing treatment in Germany. The 20-year-old had been last seen in public with father Krishan at a screening of Animal in December last year.
