Varun Dhawan, who’s usually known for his massy entertainers, has a huge fan following among kids and the youth. But with films like October, the actor has revamped his own brand image and that’s working for him. Says a source, “Usually, you have the popular massier brand associate themselves with Varun. They are usually more youth-friendly. But now, the brands are seeing a different side to the actor after the unconventional choices that he’s making in his career. Among the younger actors, he is leading in the brand space and discussions with a few other corporates are also in place currently.” Although Varun doesn’t want to reveal the name of the brand just as yet, a source close to the actor adds that he likes shooting with ad filmmakers. “Varun feels that the makers who have already directed a few ads have a thorough understanding of the commercial and brand value. Also, he has a lot of creative inputs which he keeps sharing with them,” adds the source. Recently, he shot a commercial with Shashanka Ghosh who started off as an ad filmmaker.
