Unfortunate! Crew member dies on the sets of Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh'

Kabir Singh was all about happy times between Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. But now hear that a crew member died while the shooting of the film was on. The crew member, a generator operator, was checking the generators in a five-star hotel in Mussorie, where the shooting of Kabir Singh is taking place. However his muffler got stuck in the fan of the generator, which caused his death. Despite being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.

“Ramu was checking the oil in the generator when the muffler he was wearing got caught in the fan of the generator and he got pulled in it as well. He was taken to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he was declared dead. His family members have been informed about it,” a police officer told Hindustan Times.

When asked, the management at the hotel denied any such incident taking place in their premises. The deceased man was 30 year old and hailed from Muzaffarnagar. He was working with a generator company in Premnagar area of Dehradun.

The producers of the film, Cine1 Studios and T Series Films, have issued a joint statement, “We are deeply saddened by the loss. We are extending our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr Ram Kumar. We are offering support to the family in the immediate aftermath of this tragic event.”

Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. The Telugu and Hindi version both are directed by Sandeep Vanga. Arjun Reddy starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles.

Kabir Singh, jointly produced by Cine1 Studios and T-Series, is slated to release on 21st June 2019. The story is about a brilliant surgeon who is an alcoholic and suffers from anger-management issues post separation from his lover.
