Amid reports of his ouster from several big Bollywood films, actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to woo his fans with his stint in the short film, titled ‘Silvat’.
Kartik took to his social media handles on Friday (June 4) to share a glimpse of his performance in the movie. "Silvat. Forever grateful to @tanuja__chandra ma’am for this amazing experience," he captioned the post.
For the unversed, ‘Silvat’ was earlier released under Zeal For Unity festival 2016. It is now all set to stream on OTT platform, ZEE5. Written by Faraz Arif Ansari and directed by Tanuja Chandra, the film highlights on ‘unspoken, unanswered and unfulfilled love’. It is about a woman, Noor (Meher Mistry), whose husband works in the Middle East and has not visited her in years. And in wait for her husband, she falls in love with a Muslim boy, Anwar (Kartik).
Kartik reportedly shot for ‘Silvat’ during his initial years in the film industry. The shot film’s trailer has garnered immense love from his fans. Pakistani actor Saba Qamar, who played Irrfan Khan’s wife in ‘Hindi Medium’, commented, “Khubsurat. I am looking forward to it”
While one user commented, “Watching you in Silvat is a treat for us. You are an incredible performer. Abhi tak to aap comedy ke king the, ab aap acting ke king ho. @TheAaryanKartik aapki acting Ka koi jawab Nahin. Silvat Zabardast film hai. Aur aap to bemisal ho. BEST ACTOR in new generation..” Another wrote, “You literally nailed the character of Anwar.”
Kartik has recently been in the headlines due to reports of him being ousted from as many as three big projects. After getting dropped from Karan Johar produced 'Dostana 2', it was reported that the actor lost out on a film produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment titled ‘Freddie’. Earlier this week there were reports that Kartik was ousted from an Aanand L Rai production.
Kartik will next be seen in Aneez Bazmi’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ which also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in leading roles. He also has Ram Madhvani’s ‘Dhamaka’ in the pipeline.
