The makers of Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri have unveiled the first sneak peek into the film throught the Uri teaser. The movie revolves around the fist ever surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Armed Forces on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, on September 28, 2016 after the devastating Uri Attack.
The teaser makes it clear that going by the history, India has never attacked another country first, but now times have changed and so has the country. The new India will not only intrude the houses of the neighbouring country but also attack them when they least expect it. The essence of the plot is narrated to us in the vocals of Paresh Rawal, who also plays a significant role in the film.
In September 2016, after the dastardly Uri attack that claimed the lives of our jawans, India carried out one of its most covert counter-insurgency operations in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. These surgical strikes proved to be a strong and resounding message of India’s military and intelligence might to the world. Today marks the 2 – year anniversary of this massively successful military operation.
Going by the glimpes in the Uri teaser, we feel Vicky Kaushal has once again nailed it as he pays a seemingly befitting tribute to the India Armed Forces. First Raazi, then Sanju, more recently Manmarziyaan and now Uri - seriously, is there anything that Vicky Kaushal cannot do? This year has turned out to be his and how. He's changing the skin of his characters like a chameleon and proving to be a delight to the viewers.

The movie has been directed by Aditya Dhar and is slated to hit the theatres on January 11, 2019. We're definitely looking forward to this one!
