A video of Urvashi Rautela had gone viral recently, in which the actress was seen in a bathroom. When the actress was about to change her clothes, the video ended. The actress has now finally broken her silence on the viral video, revealing that it was a part of her upcoming film Ghuspaithiya.
Talking to the Instagram channel Instant Bollywood at the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Urvashi said, "The day the clip went out, obviously I was upset for that period of time. Of course it’s not my personal life, it’s not my personal clip, it’s part of a movie, Ghuspaithiya." When she was further asked if any of her personal video had leaked earlier, she stated, "No, no, I wish no woman goes through something like this."
After the video had surfaced on the internet earlier this week, netizens had wondered if it was actually a breach of privacy or a PR stunt. While this debate had just started, an audio clip was also leaked in which Urvashi was heard talking to her manager. In the second clip, she was heard asking her manager, "Have you seen the video? I just don’t understand how are these things going out. I need to get on a call with them immediately. Her manager was heard replying to her, "It's a sad situation. But, let's not talk on the phone, we should talk in person regarding it."
Ghuspaithiya also stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Akshay Oberoi in the leading roles and will release in cinemas on August 9. As the synopsis of the film reads, "Ghuspaithiya film delves deep into the complexities of modern-day digital threats and its impact on our personal and professional lives. It also exposes the pervasive influence of social media and the challenges it poses to trust and privacy", the whole incident seems like a publicity stunt for the promotions of the film.
