Vaani Kapoor, who will be next seen opposite Hrithik Roshan in War, suffered injuries while shooting for the song Ghungroo in which she can be seen dancing on the aerial rotating pole.
This complicated portion of the song was choreographed by Tushar Kalia and he reveals that the actress took three months to perfect this technique. In the process, she got hurt several times. “It’s one of the most difficult songs I have ever choreographed. For the first time, an actress is attempting a routine that involves Cyr wheel and aerial rotating pole — both are extremely tough routines to pull off even if you are a brilliant dancer. Once I shared the idea with Siddharth (Anand, director) and Vaani, they were very kicked about it and she wanted to do everything on her own. She didn’t want a body double for this,” says Tushar.
Vaani avers that her body endured a lot during rehearsals and the shoot, but since it gave her an opportunity to try something new, it was all worth it. “I am happy and grateful that people are loving the song,” she says.
