Anushka Sharma as Mamata and Varun Dhawan as Mauji

In this story of celebrating entrepreneur spirit, sab badhiyaa hai!

As promised, Yash Raj Films unveiled the first official trailer for Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's Sui Dhaaga - Made In India on Monday. Looking no different than the tale of your average small town lower-middle class regular Joes, this story of struggle and the pride of entrepreneurship impresses in the first glimpse.

Mauji (Varun Dhawan) is a talented tailor working for someone else. He takes care of his parents on a small income. Does everything he is asked by his employers and cares for very little when it comes to his self-esteem.

He is married to Mamata (Anushka Sharma) who is a typical small town bride, a brilliant embroider, and one who cannot stand her husband being humiliated in public. She ignites the spark of self-respect, honour and confidence in Mauji. Makes him believe in his skills and craft.

The couple embarks on a journey to establish themselves and rise above the difficult financial, social situation with the help of their enterprise.

The 3.11-minutes-long trailer shows the struggle of finding your identity as they overcome financial, societal, familial obstacles to make something of themselves.

Inspiring, eh?

From the beginning until the very end of the trailer one cannot help but notice the authentic costume designing and the entire packaging of the movie. Varun Dhawan's blazers, Anushka Sharma's mismatched sweaters paired with affordable sarees, Raghubir Yadav's attire blend in so well with the props and set design. Hats off to costume designers Darshan Jalan and Neelanchal Ghosh.
