When we first watched the trailer of Veere Di Wedding we had the inkling that the movie which claims that it's not a chick flick, will definitely give us a girl-buddies song. Little did we know that it'll actually be the title track of the film. The makers of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania starrer film have dropped the Veere song from the film and it's the ultimate girl bonding song that'll instantly make you miss your childhood besties and you might even end up calling them, reminiscing about the good old times that you've shared together.
The song talks about the depth of the bond of friendship that Kalindi (Kareena), Avni (Sonam), Sakshi (Swara) and Meera (Shikha) share and how their friendship has now become more of a habit of theirs. Veere highlights that it doesn't matter how much distance has crept up between your besties, they are the ones who never give up on you. Veere Veere is the song for all the BFFs, the 3 am friends and all those who refuse to give up on you even when you're at your worst.
Now, coming to the visuals, Veere begins with an upset Kalindi throwing away her wedding invitation and subsequesnt planning session of her bridesmaids aka besties Avni, Sakshi and Meera zeroing in on Phuket as the destination for a bachelorette trip. While we know that Kalindi is apprehensive about getting married and the fact that she's soon going to be Mrs Malhotra, it's on this trip that she lets herself loose and tries to have the time of her life for one last time, as a spinster. It's all about revisiting the old times with your friends who've become your family.
From visiting strip clubs to pole dancing, clubbing to just chilling over a smoke, the ladies live it up and make the most of their time together. While Kareena looks abs-o-lutely stunning in every frame that she occupies, we're totally digging the way Swara lets her hair down and goes up to jam with a pole dancer in one of the scenes. Shikha is bindaas and Sonam is gorgeous as ususal!
The track Veere has a very peppy and upbeat vibe to it so it doesn't get preechy at all. The lyrics have been penned by Anvita Dutt and the music of the song has been composed by Vishal Mishra, who has also crooned the song along with Aditi Singh Sharma, Dhvani Bhanushali, Nikita Ahuja, Payal Dev, Iulia Vantur and Sharvi Yadav.
