Veteran artist Vikram Gokhale, who was battling multiorgan failure, has reportedly passed away. As per an ANI tweet, the Agneepath star was undergoing treatment in Pune hospital, breathed his last at age of 82, and died on Saturday.
The news portal shared the news of Vikram's demise on their Twitter, with a file photo, and captioned it saying, "Maharashtra | Veteran Actor Vikram Gokhale passes away in Pune."

Just an hour ago, the news portal shared the health update of the actor and stated that after showing an improvement yesterday, Vikram's health started deteriorating again. It was also reported that he is on a ventilator.
On Wednesday night, the news about Vikram Gokhale's death surfaced, and even Bollywood stars like Ajay Devgn, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Riteish Deshmukh and others mourned the death. However, on Thursday early morning, his death news was dismissed by the family.
Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Gokhale has given acclaimed performances in various Marathi and Bollywood films. The most notable ones are in Agneepath, starring Amitabh Bachchan in 1990, where he played Commissioner M. S. Gaitonde, and in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999 in which he played Pundit Darbar, who doesn't allow his daughter Nandini, played by Aishwarya Rai, to tie the knot Sameer, played by Salman Khan, and instead fixes her marriage with Vanraj, played by Ajay Devgn. He was last seen in Abhimanyu Dasani's Nikamma.
