Team URI carries out a surgical strike on film piracy

Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Mohit Raina starrer recent release URI: The Surgical Strike has emerged as the first hit film of the year 2019. The movie has managed to strike a chord with the audience and people are still thronging to the theatres to watch the film. While there are cinegoers who want to go to the plexes and enjoy the movie watching experience, there are those who'd rather download the film via illegal torrents to watch it, thereby giving rise to more and more piracy. 

So, much like other films, as soon as URI was released, a few torrent links to downlod the movie were also available online. Little did the ones downling the illegal torrents know that team URI will actually carry out a surgical strike against piracy and give them a lesson for life.

In order to teach everyone a lesson, the makers of the film made a diffeent version of it and posted it online. In the pirated version of the film that's available online, the lead actors of URI, Vicky and Yami can be seen talking to the person who has downloaded the film. They tell them to go and watch the film in a theatre instead. The video ends with the popular line from the film, "Yeh naya hindostan hai. Yeh ghar me ghusega bhi, aur maarega bhi"

URI: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army on the PoK in reply to the Uri terrorist attacks. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of popular TV actor Mohit Raina. The movie has already managed to rake in about Rs 60 crore at the ticket windows and is running successfully in theatres.
