A video of Jagdeep, more fondly known as 'Soorma Bhopali', has been going viral on the internet. Summed up as the veteran actor's last video, the clip features him reprising the role of 'Sholay' protagonist Soorma Bhopali.
Naved and Javed Jaffrey had shared their father Jagdeep's video back in 2018, where the legendary actor thanks his fans for their wishes. In 'Soorma Bhopali' style, the actor concluded the video saying his iconic dialogue, "Hamaara naam hai Soorma Bhopali yeh sahi nahi hai, ab aap samajh lo."
Jagdeep was also seen telling his fans the meaning of his name - someone who brightens up everybody's world. He asks them to come happily and go happily.

Javed Jaffrey and Naved with their families are currently reaching Mazgaon burial ground for Jagdeep's final rites. The cremation is expected to take place at 11 am.
Jagdeep died due to age-related illness. Aged 81, he worked in over 400 films. He had started his career as a child artist and was seen in movies namely Guru Dutt's Aar Paar, Bimal Roy's Do Bigha Zamin among many others.
Apart from Soorma Bhopali in 'Sholay', Jagdeep also starred as Machchar in Purana Mandir (1984) and as Salman Khan's dad in Andaz Apna Apna (1994). In 2019, he was bestowed with Lifetime Achievement Award at IIFA. He was given the award by Ranveer Singh while his whole family including sons Javed, Naved and grandson Meezaan stayed beside him during the honours.
