Bollywood has had many inspiring stories of success over the years. And the actors who undergo those often share loving relationships with each other. Such is the impact Fanney Khan actor Anil Kapoor had on his fellow actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
Anil Kapoor had a chat with each of them before the release of his movie. He asked each of them what ‘Fanney Khan’ meant to them or who was their ‘Fanney Khan’. Each had answers that left Anil emotional and showed us how Bollywood doesn’t always have to be about competition.
Shah Rukh talked about an incident when he was young and was still an aspiring actor. He visited the studio of a movie and was looking for his breakout role, when Anil talked to him. The two sat there together for hours talking about Shah Rukh’s dreams and career, and because of that, Anil was his Fanney Khan.
Anil shared the video on his Twitter handle with the caption ‘He is truly one of the kindest actors you will ever meet. That very quality of his makes @iamsrk a #FanneyKhan in my eyes. Thank you for the person that you are and for always being so supportive’
Aamir’s answer was also pretty similar. He answered that who ‘Fanney Khan’ is changes for him. Anil was his ‘Fanney Khan’ because of the kind of roles he did and the way he inspired people and actors like him. His never-say-die attitude and his spirit was what made his roles come alive. “Fanney Khan of the industry,” as Aamir termed it.
Anil posted Aamir’s video as well and captioned it ‘Everybody knows that he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to the roles he has to portray simply to entertain the audiences. For me @aamir_khan you are truly a #FanneyKhan.’ (Now we want all three to collab!)
Anil Kapoor’s Fanney Khan, also starring Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan releases in theatres tomorrow, August 3, 2018. Aamir is currently working on Thugs of Hindostan opposite Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, which comes out November 7, 2018. Shah Rukh will next be seen in Zero, opposite Katrina and Anushka Sharma, which is slated for a December 21, 2018 release.
So who's your 'Fanney Khan'?
