Kartik Aaryan, still known as Sonu from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, is now popular for his character of Guddu from Luka Chuppi, even before the movie's release

Ever since Kartik Aaryan played Sonu in his previous release Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, he became a favourite among every boy's mother. The role he plays in his upcoming movie Luka Chuppi, as Guddu, has also connected well with similar kind of audiences. Kartik himself made some comparisons between Sonu and Guddu, and the results are going to make you love the actor more.

In Luka Chuppi, Kartik plays the role of a simple, small-town boy who wants to get married. He is however stuck with a girlfriend, played by Kriti Sanon, who wants to go for a live-in relationship before taking the plunge. Guddu then goes through many situations, some where he almost got married. Will he and Rashmi Tridevi, played by Kriti Sanon, get married? How the drama unfolds with Guddu and Rashmi's family coming into picture is what makes up for the story.

Talking about the comparisons between Sonu and Guddu, Kartik told BollywoodLife, ''Sonu was overpowering in everything he did. I couldn't imbibe his character traits in Guddu because he is a very different character from Sonu. This is altogether a very different territory for me as an actor because he (Guddu) is a reporter from a small town in Mathura. He works on the news channel - Mathura Live - and is a very honest guy.''

The actor pointed out how Sonu was smarter than Guddu and said, ''He is not a street-smart kind of guy and is very simple, unlike Sonu. With Sonu, you felt like taking him home but with Guddu you would want to take him home to your parents.”

Luka Chuppi is slated to release on Friday, March 1. The movie, directed by superhit Marathi film Tapaal helmer Laxman Utekar, also stars Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles. The movie releases with Sushant Singh Rajput-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya.
