Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol are slated to return to the silver screen with the third instalment of their popular comedy franchise Yamla Pagla Deewana. A lot of changes have already happened in the film’s release date, with Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se being moved from its original Independence Day release date to August 31 now.
However, the latest news is that the team is re-shooting the climax. An informer reveals, “The movie had wrapped up, but after seeing the first cut, the team wanted to fine-tune the end sequences. Hence, they decided to re-shoot it. They had to film for three-four days to enhance it.”
An insider says, “They had asked Rishi Kapoor to do a cameo, but that didn’t materialise due to some reason. So, extra scenes were added with Shatrughan Sinha, who was always meant to do a cameo. The entire crew began filming the climax from August 2. Today will be the last day of shoot. It’s a courtroom scene and the Deols have been stationed at Filmcity. They are quite happy with the way the climax has shaped up now.”
Although there was buzz that the film might get pushed ahead a bit, the team is making sure that it hits the marquee on August 31 as planned. “They have finished it well before time, so there’s no question of a delay,” adds the source.
