Actor Angad Bedi whose rose to fame with his stints in the Bollywood films like Pink and Tiger Zinda Hai, received appreciation from critics for the role of Bikramjit Singh in the recently released biopic Soorma. The latest buzz is that the actor will now be seen in the upcoming film ‘The Zoya Factor’ which stars Dulquer Salmaan and Sonam Kapoor and is directed by Abhishek Sharma. But little do we know that his very close friend and the former cricketer Yuvraj Singh gifted him a bat for the film.
When asked Angad about the same, he said “This is the YWC Bat (YouWeCan Foundation). They have come up with a special edition for cricket gear and I have been actually chasing Yuvraj for long time to give me a bat and he said when the time is right I will gift you one myself. I am really glad that he signed this bat personally for me because now that I am doing a project which is based on cricket, I think this bat is going to come really handy. To get a bat from the man who is a cricketing legend himself, whether it was the six sixes or making India win the world cup. I hope to do him proud and I am really glad and grateful that I can represent him by using a YWC signed bat by him. For me it is a great moment of pride and I am going to use this in my practise and also in the matches that I am going to play on the field at the same time which will be showcased in cinema also.”
As per the sources, in ‘The Zoya Factor’, Angad will be seen playing the parallel lead. He will be playing the role of ex cricket captain whose captaincy goes in to Dulqueer and is excited for the same. They will start shooting in Mumbai by end of next month.
