Ahead of Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal's wedding, the father of the groom-to-be spilt some major details about their wedding ceremony. In an interview with Free Press Journal, Iqbal Ratansi revealed will not have any religious ceremony. He said, "It will have neither Hindu or Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage (sic)."

The report further revealed that their marriage will be as per the Special Marriage Act, 1954 under which the couple had reportedly given the mandatory one-month notice to the marriage registrar. Iqbal indicated that the wedding could be held at a venue selected by the couple and complete the legal formalities.

When asked if Sonakshi would convert to Islam after marriage, Iqbal revealed, "She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi."

Shatrugan Sinha confirms 'pre-wedding conflict' 

In a conversation with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha opened up on being a part of the celebration on June 23 and said, "First of all, a lot has changed since I last spoke to you. In fact there are developments by the hour.I can't tell you about all of the developments, as this is a family matter. I had asked Pahlaj Nihalani to speak to you. But I thought it best to clue you indirectly. So quickly, yes my wife and I are very much a part of the celebrations on June 23.

Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's pics from the mehendi ceremony are going viral on social media. The actress was seen radiating glow in a red suit, while Zaheer looked charming in a white and red shirt which he paired with a pair of white jeans. The couple's wedding reception will take place on June 23 in Mumbai's Bastian, a luxurious dining place.
