SCOOPS: Alia Bhatt's new bond with Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao, Nana Patekar's cameo at his press con and more

Alia Bhatt, the current contender for Deepika Padukone’s throne, started out her Bollywood journey with a different set of pals. However, after she started ‘dating’ Ranbir Kapoor and became close to the Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerjee, Alia has warmed up to RK Junior and Ayan’s circle of friends that includes Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan. Must say, the new power friendship equation is bound to bear fruit and something big will definitely come out of it. Incidentally in March, After Hrs had hinted that Aamir and Alia may team up for a film on Osho aka Bhagwan Rajneesh. Now, a couple of reliable trade papers are hinting about the same thing, though there is no confirmation whatsoever from any of the concerned parties.

Last week, we had reported that Rani Mukerji’s Hichki is releasing in China. The actress is presently in the neighbourhood country promoting her movie there. We’ve got an exclusive image of the actress taking time off from the film’s promotional campaign to visit the Great Wall of China. Rani, who is stationed in China till Hichki’s release on October 12, will be visiting Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzen, Guangzhou and Chengdu to meet and interact with the local media and students.

Nana Patekar held a press conference outside his home for a few minutes yesterday. When asked about the reported molestation charges levelled against him by his Horn Ok Pleassss co-star Tanushree Dutta, the veteran actor said he was advised by his lawyer to not hold a press conference. When probed further, the actor said, “What do I say? What I said 10 years ago holds. There is nothing new to say. The same truth that was prevalent then is prevalent now.’’
