Amazon Prime Day 2020 on August 6-7 was the biggest two days ever for small and medium businesses, the e-commerce giant said on Monday.
The company said the highest Prime Day 91,000 small and medium sellers from 5,900 pin codes across the country received orders. Of these, 62,000 sellers were from small towns.
Over 4,000 of the small and medium business sellers saw sales of more than Rs 10 lakh while 209 of them became crorepatis, the company said.
According to figures released by Amazon India, over 10 lakh Prime members shopped from small businesses in the 14-day lead up to Prime Day.
The company said that the launches on Prime Day saw a growth of 5 times in customer purchases.
Personal computing, large appliances, kitchen, smartphones, apparel and pantry categories were among those that saw the most success in terms of units sold during the sale, Amazon said.
Treadmills and home gyms also saw a spike in the sale.
Among smartphones, Samsung Galaxy M31s, Samsung Galaxy M31, Samsung Galaxy M21, Apple iPhone 11 and some Chinese brand phones were the top sales.
The first day of Prime Day was the biggest day ever for Amazon Devices with Echo devices, Fire TV Stick and Kindle devices favourites among the members, Amazon said.
