NEW DELHI: Real estate giant DLF will invest Rs 3,500 crore in Rajasthan as it plans to develop convention centres, hotels and retail space and hotel management institutes in the state.
"An overall investment of Rs 3,500 crore is planned for Rajasthan as we intend to set up convention centre, hotels and retail space," DLF Executive Director Rajiv Talwar said.
He said two hotels would come up along with the convention centre, which is being planned in Jaipur.
"An additional hotel is also being planned with our partners Hilton," he added.
Asked if the two hotels that would come up along with the convention centre would also be in partnership with Hilton, he said it could be if Hilton decides so.
"Currently, we are looking for the locations besides Jaipur for the hotel to be developed in partnership with Hilton," Talwar added.
DLF has embarked on a programme to develop, acquire, finance and actively manage world-class hospitality properties for luxury, business, leisure and recreational segments.
The company is in the process of building over 25,000 rooms in more than 40 cities and tourist destinations across India.
Last month, DLF was awarded a Rs 6,000 crore project by the Delhi Development Authority for designing, developing and operating an International Convention Centre in Dwarka.
The proposed centre would help in generating revenues from International Conventions and boost the Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
