Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra said that a 'New Uttar Pradesh' has emerged under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, "who is tirelessly working for the state's inclusive growth."
At the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit, Chandra, on behalf of Essel Group signed MoUs worth Rs 18,750 crore with the Yogi government. He urged industrialists to come forward and make a significant contribution to the development of UP — once dubbed a 'BIMARU state'.
"A new dawn has emerged in the state under the dynamic leadership of Yogi Adityanathji under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. Let us make our positive contribution to shape up his vision of overall development and inclusive growth of the state," he urged the country's top industrialists.
Recalling his earlier experience of doing business in Uttar Pradesh, he said that the Essel Group had earlier signed MoUs worth Rs 30,000 crore, but projects worth only Rs 3,000 crore could materialise due to red tape and apathy.
"In many states, projects do not move even after Chief Minister's directive and intervention. A new work culture has now developed in the state which will take Uttar Pradesh to a new height and set up an example in the country," he said.
Congratulating Adityanath and his team for the successful organisation of the Summit, he said that the Zee network has now become number two news and entertainment network in the world with 1.4 billion viewers across 173 countries.
