Good News: Jet Airways offers international flight tickets starting under Rs 5,000, check details

Jet Airways is offering international flight tickets at a starting price of Rs 4,299. Customers can book their onw-way flight tickets to Columbo, Dhaka or Kathmandu in just Rs 4,299 rate. However, for a round trip, they need to shell out somewhat around Rs 9,999.  In case of booking a premiere class (one way) flights from India to Colombo, Dhaka and Kathmandu, it will cost Rs 20,699 under the special Jet Airways offer; the amount goes up to Rs 33,399 in case of a premiere class (return) flight.

While booking from India to the Gulf countries - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Doha, Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait and Muscat, the price will will cost Rs 5,499 for a one-way economy class flight and will go up to Rs 12,199 in case of return flights. 

Meanwhile, the board of crisis-hit Jet Airways will consider cost reduction initiatives and turnaround plan along with June quarter results at its meeting on August 27, according to a regulatory filing.

The full service carrier, which is grappling with financial woes, has been looking at ways to reduce costs amid high oil prices and intense competition.

On August 9, the airline's board of directors deferred announcement of unaudited financial results for the June quarter and the same would be taken up on August 27.

In a filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday, Jet Airways said the board would also take up matters related to cost reduction initiatives on August 27.
