Low cost airline Indigo had caught Twitterati's attention over a change in its web check-in policy. According to the revised policy, all seats will be chargeable for web check-in, however, customers can check-in for at the airport for free, subjected to the seat availability.
IndiGo's revised seat policy is effective since November 14, 2018.
IndiGo also clarified that it's not mandatory if more than one tickets have been booked with same PNR, will get the seats together. "The pre-book option let you reserve your seat together in case you're travelling as a group or you may opt for the free seat at the airport counter, depending upon availability," IndiGo tweeted answering the customer's query.
Criticising the new policy, Paytm's Vijay Shekhar Sharma took to Twitter to express displeasure.
Meanwhile, Indigo airlines has started a flight from Jaipur to Cochin which will depart from Jaipur at 18:15 hours.
The flight will reach Kochi at 21:05 hours as per the schedule issued by airlines.
The flight will take about 3 hours between the two tourist cities and will give more options to the passengers from many other flights which operate throughout the day between the two cities. Few days ago, Indigo had started flight for Bengaluru from November 1. Thus, the connectivity between the southern part of the country and Jaipur has been increasing now. Kochi is a known tourist place and many people from Rajasthan plan their holidays in Kerala and go to Kochi for seeing the beaches. The number of flights from Jaipur airport to various domestic airports has seen a rise in the last few months. Currently, the runway of Jaipur airport is closed for flight operation from 10:30 pm to 5 am since October 29.
The NOTAM (Notice to Airman) as its popularly called will be effective for one and half month till December 14 for the construction related work. As such the international and domestic flights which operate from Jaipur airport between this time duration have changed their schedules.
