Lodha Group appoints 11 new senior executives to achieve Rs 20,000-crore turnover target

The realty major wants to achieve the turnover target in the next five years and be amongst the top 10 profitable companies in India.

Realty major, Lodha Group has appointed 11 senior executives at various levels in its top management to achieve its turnover target of Rs 20,000 crore in the next five years, an Economic Times report said.

In the past three months, Lodha Group has hired executives with experience in consumer and banking industries, it added.

Lodha Group Managing Director Abhishek Lodha has been quoted in the report saying that the company recognised its "talent as an important pillar of growth and will continue to invest relentlessly in building a strong, diverse and professional team." 

With the management level rejig, the company will work toward being one of the most profitable companies in India by 2021.

Lodha also said that his company was inspired by Hindustan Unilever's growth trajectory and said that it is currently at the size what the FMCG conglomerate was in 2006-07. We aim to achieve their current growth level in the next five years, he added.

The three top executives

Jayant Mehrotra, the new Chief Financial Officer at Lodha Group, worked at the same capacity at ING Vysya Bank and brings over 25 years of experience from across various industries.

Prashant Bindal, appointed as the new Chief Sales Officer will head sales, excluding the Lodha Luxury collection and NRI sales. 

Bindal is ex-CEO Spice Mobility and has previously worked with Coca-Cola, Cadbury and Walmart.

Akhil Jain, Vice President, Sales, has previously worked at CitiFinancial, Religare and Magna FinCorp.

Lodha Group’s consolidated revenue for the year-ended March 2015 was Rs 8,000 crore.
