Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now the sixth richest man in the world, according to Bloomberg.

Facebook recently posted stellar quarterly profits, with numbers more than doubling. The company reported a profit of $1.56 billion in the last three months of 2015, compared to $701 million in the same period last year. Its revenue grew to $5.84 billion from $3.85 billion in the same period. 

The social media platform's userbase also grew to nearly 1.6 billion. 

On the back of the huge jump in figures, backed mostly by the company's growth in revenue from mobile advertising, Facebook's shares jumped nearly 12%.

According to a report by Time Magazine, Mark Zuckerberg's wealth is mostly from Facebook's stock. The rally in the company's stock price after the results boosted his net worth by $1.2 billion in the year, making him the sixth richest man in the world. Zuckerberg surpassed Charles and David Koch to become the sixth richest person in the world. 

The top five richest persons are -- Bill gates, Amancio Ortga, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos and Carlos Slim.
