Subbamma inherited the assets of her husband Subba Rao Jasti, who died in February 2023. Subbamma's biggest chunk of inheritance is derived from the sale of a stake in Suven Pharma in 2022. She sold her stake to global privater equity firm Advent International. She lives in Hyderabad.
Her son Venkateswarulu Jasti co-founded Suven Pharmaceuticals in 1989. The Hyderabad company was demerged in 2020 and separately listed as Suven Life Sciences, whose market cap is now Rs 2900 crore. Venkateswarulu ran a chain six of community pharmacies in New York and New Jersey in the 1970s and 1980s. He is now the chairman and CEO of Suven Life Sciences. He is also an advisor in Suven Pharma. He founded Suven Pharma Ltd and Suven Life Sciences Limited and successfully led the company since its inception in 1989.
